Power-Up: New Kidneyverse Level Unlocked
150+ companies, 22,700+ employees, and $8+ billion raised
Today I’m over the moon to announce the Kidneyverse has reached a new milestone and now includes over 150 companies, representing 22,700+ employees (ahem, explorers) and $8+ billion raised to date.
Four months ago I wrote my first piece about the Kidneyverse. Since then, we have 5X’d the number of companies included in the database and tripled the number of people learning about this space on a monthly basis through Signals.
It takes a village to make sure promising ideas and people get noticed. I want to thank Paul Grill at the NKF Innovation Fund for helping to identify emerging companies endeavoring to transform the future of kidney disease treatment!
My goal is simple: to raise awareness, create new opportunities, and fast-track innovation in kidney care. Are you with us?
Mission Alignment
Our goal here is simple: raise awareness, create new opportunities, and fast-track innovation in kidney care.
We do this by collecting, connecting, and monitoring the most promising startups across the Kidneyverse.
Today, that means expanding and amplifying this list of 150+ companies transforming kidney care as we know it. Looking ahead, we plan to convert that potential energy into rocket fuel — cultivating the resources companies need to bring transformative products to market.
This aligns perfectly with the Signals vision of fostering a more dynamic and responsive kidney care ecosystem. Ultimately, we want to recognize companies that are developing transformative treatments and technologies, from artificial kidneys and portable dialysis devices to gene therapies and organ perfusion.
